I have been too busy and exhausted to blog lately. But, here are some highlights and thoughts:

-- I went to my high school reunion a couple weeks ago and had much fun. I picked up conversations with old friends as if it were 1992. It was kind of funny hearing some of the things that people remember about me that I had totally forgotten about. The downside to the event...I forgot my camera.

-- Spending almost a week in Ohio gave me some wonderful time with family and friends, but as always, it wasn't long enough to visit with everyone that I would have liked to. That included much of my extended family.

--Husband only has about three weeks before he is "on vacation" for two months, then if all goes as planned he will be off to learn a new job.

--I am being to panic about running 10 miles in October. I just can't seem to make time to train.

--The in-laws recovery process after the fire has been slow and steady. It is SUCH a tedious procedure. I am being to dislike shopping.

-- We still have not purchased a fire proof safe, although we have looked at them. We would really like the two drawer file cabinet version, however we can not figure out how we would get the 300+ pounds up the stairs. The store will deliver it to the front door and for an additional $75 dollars they will bring it up three steps. Unfortunately, we have about 15 of them. Besides, can the floor handle that much weight in one spot without reinforcement?

-- A new CEO was recently hired at work. She retired after working 25 years for IBM and has now taken on this leadership position with the Girl Scouts. I had a meeting with her yesterday and she is fabulous. I look forward to seeing her in action and learning from her too. I am blessed to work with a wonderful group of women.

--We are having a mandatory fun day for work next week. It will be at one of our camps. I am hoping to climb our Alpine Tower, so if I do, I will attempt to have someone take pictures.

-- I am seriously contemplating making a tandem jump out of an airplane. Would anyone like to join me?

-- I am looking forward to spending five days at the beach over Labor Day. I have definitely labored enough over the past year to fully deserve the break!

Highlights? Maybe not for most, but that is what they are for me in August 2007.
